Much has changed in the years since I first went online with this website. Digital music largely replaced the physical object, something I have not always been thrilled about, honestly, as I'm an "old school" CDs and Albums kind of guy. But technology and lifestyles have changed dramatically, and if people prefer to stream their music or download files, they should be able to. But it does mean that the ONLY way you can now get a physical CD of any of my works is through this website, where I will be shipping your order directly. Here's how to do that. First, I'll tell you what we have, some of which only remains in extremely limited quantities:
Kevin's sixth full-length album, RIVER OF CHANGE, is now available to orders. In this age of streaming dominance, only a limited number of physical CDs will be pressed. For your $10 you get a packed 78-minute disc of songs from various sessions in Kevin's unpredictable career. These include new songs such as "Walkin' Along," "Scared of This River" and "Disappointed," and some older, never-heard-before tunes like "Thoughts For When You're Anxious," "Carol's Song," and "Everything Reminds Me of You," all three of which were originally planned for a "Mom-themed album" that was never able to come to fruition.
Kevin also worked with engineer Adam Long, who spruced up his studio during the pandemic with stunning new mixing equipment, to craft luminous new remixes of some key older songs like "There For My Life," "The Woods Around That House" and "Escape From the Cage."
Kevin states that "there are three themes running through these songs, all of which have to do with the unpredictable flow of life, loss and lessons learned. It struck me that this music is like a river, winding through my conscience presenting both past and present events, leading towards something that is not truly within my sight..."
$10 gets you the album (please include $5 for shipping within the U.S.) and a detailed essay about the making of the CD and the personnel involved.
Foreign orders, please inquire as to the correct shipping cost. The album is ready now, so order yours today.

A hard-hitting opus that received full-page writeups in the Riverfront Times and several other publications. It features "Promise Man," "Different Without You," "Just Movin' On" (several members of the Skeletons guest on this one, which was produced by the late Lou Whitney), "If We Can Keep Dancing" and the fiery rocker "These Things Happen," recorded with Theodore Moniak and Denise Chappell. $10
Production work by Grammy nominee Adam Long and Jacob Detering at Red Pill. Songs include the N1M #1-rated folk song "Ballad of the American Farmer," the anthemic "Figure Out," the crowd favorite "Goodbye Typewriter," and the upbeat "The Box It Comes In," a collaboration with Ted Moniak. $10
(only about 8 copies left in stock).
A 7-song mini-album that features "No Second Dates" (the first collaboration with Christa Juergens), the country classic "It's Gonna Be Hard Without You" and the emotive "Call It a Life," on which Gretchen Hewitt plays stirring violin. $7 (Only 3 copies left in stock of this one. Not likely to be repressed.)
My first album, with the title song recorded at Sawhorse Studio, the first version of "Call It, Friend-o," and the popular "The Sorry Song." $8. We only have one copy of this left in stock. There are no plans to formally press more copies, but if enough interest is expressed, we could do a limited run.
This is an unusual collaboration between myself and Canadian soundscape artist John Sobocan. Utilizing poems and introspective essays I wrote before "Up in the Air" happened, John created haunting ethereal backdrops that complemented the mood I was aiming for with these ruminations on loss and loneliness. Some of the pieces are "Why I Like Ambient," "The Dream of a Winter Twilight" and "A Closer Look." $5 (about 15 copies left)
The official soundtrack to Jason Reitman's film. Features Kevin's original cassette recording as presented to Reitman, along with CSNY's "Taken At All," Sad Brad Smith's "Help Yourself," Elliott Smith's "Angels In The Snow" and many others.
(Original Soundtrack Recording, Rhino Records, 2009)
FORECAST (2022) - A limited-edition 5-song EP meant to signal my return to recording after a lengthy absence. Features "Broken Joe and Broken Jane," "I Might Want Out" (a song about depression that is more than relevant for the stress of our times), "Call It, Friend-o...Pandemic remix" (an updated version of my popular song inspired by the movie NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN), and "Beer and Wine" (one of my most popular songs, ranked #1 on the Country Rock chart for Missouri at numberonemusic.com for many months). $7 (Only two copies remain; this was always intended to be a strictly limited release)
August 2023
ambient collaboration with Walter Whitney, coming summer 2023
This CD-r is just for fans interested in what it sounded like during the early Grove Deli days in Webster Groves, when I played with Ned Watson and Kathy Pour. It contains a lot of the popular songs we performed in those days, along with the "only time EVER" performance of my rare song "Joy Street." We do a special burn of this one for anyone ordering; the price is $10, and you'll get a special artist photo with your order.
